Cali trip: Part 1

So Michael took his part II board exam (the last piece missing for his dental license) and then he had a few weeks off before he found out the results. In order to get our minds off the stressful, high pressure situation we were in, and also to celebrate school being over, and to take advantage of the last vacation time Michael will have for a while, and because it's awesome, we decided to go to California. My uncle and his family live there and they have an amazing house about 30 min from the beach. Plus they are awesome. And they don't read my blog, so you know I mean it. 

My cousins are a lot younger than me and they are SO good with the kids. Raegan did not want to leave. It was pure entertaining bliss for all of us. She spent LOTS of time in the pool and they would watch her so I didn't have to get in. Bonus. 

Weston was also very entertained just walking around and checking things out. The kids both did surprisingly well. And here's a side story.... The night before we left Weston was being super whiny. I was running out the door to borrow a stroller from Tracy when I randomly decided to take him to the doctor to see if he had an ear infection. Turns out.... he did. I was so happy I got him checked out before we left. What a nightmare it would have been if I hadn't!

We spent lots of time eating, swimming, watching the olympics, and Raegan loved jumping on the trampoline. 

One day as I was trying to keep Weston from climbing the stairs, then crying at the top for someone to come get him, I noticed that this site looked familiar. (See pic below).

We spent one day driving up to Huntington to visit Uncle Tyler. It is really fun up there. We hadn't planned to go to the beach, hence no swimming suits. Why are my kids always pictured in their underwear? I promise I dress them! 

This is a different day. I know that because she is wearing a swimming suit.

BFFs

We also were lucky enough to get together with some friends of mine from college. They just moved like 20 min away from my Uncle's house, which I am super excited about! We had lots of fun having a swim BBQ with them one night. We also went to Sea World, but those pics will be in a separate post.

Great quick Cali trip. Looking forward to lots more in the future.

Weston's birthday was VERY low key. I was feeling very lazy. But we absolutely took advantage of our free $10 at Joe's Farm Grill. Thank you Weston! He got to enjoy a french fry or two out of it. But mostly we ate his $10. 

These pictures were the day after his birthday when the dust storm was about to hit. He is a very cute boy and he gets happier and happier as time passes.

11 Mos

On Weston's 11 month birthday I decided to snap a bunch of Weston pictures. He's adorable, isn't he? I tried to keep Raegan out of the pictures, but that's not always easy. 

The shadow of the bed is a bummer in this picture.

 This is a fun game they play with grandma. She is brave enough to do both of them at the same time and they love it. It always makes them laugh, especially the part where she tips them both upside down over her legs.
