Snow Day

I am not sure where my children come from, but neither of them seem to mind the cold. Raegan in particular LOVES the snow. She likes crunching it with her little boots. Sledding was her favorite thing to do ever! Too bad her mom refuses to live anywhere with snow. But lucky for her she has grandparents who do.

I am pretty sure Michael had just as much fun taking his daughter sledding as she did going. They started out on this little hill (There really was hardly any snow in Utah at Christmastime) then Michael found a bigger hill. It was actually really good except for some tree roots sticking out at the bottom. They took out both slides within the first run down. We bought more sleds later, but we could find another good spot.

Yes, I did venture forth. I am a good mom.

Snow pictures have been delayed.

Here is my darling baby boy. He was just too tired. Update on Weston.... he is nearly 6 months, he can sit up by himself, but frequently topples over. He wants to crawl really bad.

Over Thanksgiving we were able to drive over to Escondido for my Grandma's funeral. Here is a picture of the kiddos with Uncle Ryan.

Michael decided to take a break in the mother's lounge during the funeral. He pretended Weston was the excuse, but how could this angel boy be any trouble?

Please disregard the fatty on the right.

There is no place Weston is happier than in his swing. He could seriously stay out there all day.

Raegan decided to puke up all of her morning cereal. At least it wasn't really digested. :)

Christmas

Here are just a few Christmas pics.... I will post a few more of the snow some other time. We were able to fly up to Utah to spend our first Christmas at my parents new house. (Thanks mom and dad!) It did not disappoint. The only bad spot was that my bro and his family couldn't make it. And the snow.... always a bad spot, except Raegan really seems to love the stuff.... (go figure).

Making candy houses with Nonnie. She was a sticky disgusting mess afterward, but she enjoyed herself.

A much loved gift from her Tennessee cousins. It makes a lot of noise, so it's an automatic win.

This is at the carousel at Bass pro shop. We went there to see santa before our plane left. The line was hours long (only slightly exaggerating) and we had to catch a plane so the guy got us to the front of the line. It was awesome!! Huge shout out to the elves at Bass Pro. She didn't like Santa very much, but she really liked the moose carousel.

Happy New Year

I love resolutions. I make three every year. Usually I'm pretty good at keeping them. Last year, unfortunately I was 0 for 3. I wanted to stop picking my cuticles (I improved here, but not completely), go to the temple 6 times (I only made it 5) and to be able to do 10 boy push ups (I still can't even do one, but I definitely worked hard at it, which is the point of the whole thing).  So it wasn't a total loss even though I didn't technically accomplish any of them.

So my new resolutions are as follows (a goal that is not written down isn't really a goal now is it?):

1- Keep my bedroom floor picked up (I am a very messy person, but so far this year it has remained spic and span.)
2- Be at a certain weight by year end. (I won't specify the exact weight because I am a rather huge person, but I am actually pretty close to getting there. The point is to keep the weight off all year.)
3- Be nice. More specifically I have a goal to not talk badly about anyone. Only positive things to say, no matter who I am talking about or who I am talking to. (This one is going to be difficult and I'm sure I won't be perfect at it, but I want to be better.)

Good luck to all of you with all of your goals! Michael doesn't believe in New Year's resolutions. He thinks you should just always be working to be better. Yes, that's true, but I find resolutions help me be more specific. I think about them all year.

Park Day (3 months later)

Tracy took these super cute pics of my daughter back in early October. If you think she is the cutest thing ever, than I agree with you and we can still be friends. (Tracy always takes the cutest pictures of my kids, by the way. I lucked out in the old sister department.)

It was a windy day so we had the glamour shots fan effect thing going on.

This picture is almost borderline creepy to me, but I can't say why. It looks like she can see into my soul.

She wanted to wear Mack's hat more than Mack did and it made for some adorable pictures.

Raegan update:

She sings Jingle Bells and Frosty the snowman nonstop. Carolyn got her a dancing frosty with a light up snowflake for Christmas and she is obsessed. She treats him like her own child. He gets time outs, he gets his diaper changed and he accompanies us everywhere we go. Since Michael has been home for a couple weeks of break she has grown super attached and wants "daddy" ALL THE TIME! I actually can't really think of anything right now. I just know she is growing up so fast and she is so smart and funny and a pleasure to be around.
